A bit about me
My Journey as a Therapist
After graduating from my master’s program in 2017 I worked in a local mental health and substance use clinic where I had interned at. While school had given me a platform to build off of, it was really these experiences that have guided my journey as a therapist. I had the privilege while working at this clinic to experience many different people and populations which provided valuable lessons and reflections. Over time I wanted to take the leap of faith and start a practice of my own where I could embrace my style of therapy, along with my learned experiences.
My biggest take away from my work in the clinic was seeing how anxiety, trauma, depression, and our patterns live deeply within our bodies. This had led met to explore and embrace my current somatic work. It is always exciting for me to not just learn more about the power of mind body connection, but seeing clients makes these connections and begin to shift their own narratives. I am so grateful today to be able guide clients down this path of deep somatic work and help them build their own therapy toolkit.
In my free time
I am not shy about my passion for therapy and learning more about how our brain and body works! But of course, outside of my work there are many things I enjoy doing. On weekends and days off I like cooking a nourishing dinner, reading a true crime book, or listening to one of my favorite podcasts. You can always find me weekly at my favorite yoga studio, making sure to get in that self care. And when I can, I like traveling to go explore and take on new hikes (yes, one of my best friends and I did this crazy hike in Arizona! It was amazing!)
